THE MONGERING — PAGE 6: DOUGLAS. A noir comic page in black-and-white with teal and amber accents, rainy noir cinematic look. Use the uploaded character reference for Douglas — a man with short dark hair and a beard, wearing a dark suit. 4 panels.

Panel 1: Morning. A modest, well-kept hallway. On a hook by the door: a single house key. Caption: "Douglas."

Panel 2: Douglas takes the key, touches it once — a small ritual. On the wall: a worn framed photo of his parents, young and smiling. He straightens it. Caption: "What he owns. What he's built. What he's grateful for. Every morning, in that order."

Panel 3: Douglas stepping out into the rain in his dark suit — the only person on the street walking at full speed, shoulders square. Caption: "The constants. They hold him steady while the city drifts."

Panel 4: Him passing a bus stop. Marcus is there again — same spot, same frozen posture as yesterday, a young man with a damp resume folder. Douglas thinking (thought bubble): "That kid hasn't moved in two days."

Render all caption and thought-bubble text exactly as written, with perfect spelling.

THE MONGERING — PAGE 9: THE WATCHES. A noir comic page in black-and-white with teal and amber accents, rainy noir cinematic look. Use the uploaded character reference for Douglas — a man with short dark hair and a beard, wearing a dark suit. 4 panels.

Panel 1: Next morning, rain. Douglas at the bus stop beside Marcus, who stares at nothing, resume folder damp in his hands. Douglas (speech balloon): "Morning. You waiting on the 9:40?"

Panel 2: Marcus, hollow, not looking at him. Marcus (speech balloon): "What's the point. It's not my fault the bus—" He stops, frowning at his own words.

Panel 3: Close on Marcus's wristwatch: stopped at 5:17, the hands clearly reading 5:17. Douglas (speech balloon): "When did your watch stop?"

Panel 4: Split panel — Marcus's stopped wristwatch at 5:17 beside Douglas's watch, which ticks at the correct time. Douglas stares at the two watches. Marcus (speech balloon): "...dunno. What time is it, even?" Caption at bottom of panel: "His watch was right. The kid's wasn't. Douglas didn't know why that scared him."

IMPORTANT: Marcus's watch must read 5:17 in both Panel 3 and Panel 4 — keep it consistent. Render all speech, captions and watch faces exactly as written, with perfect spelling.

he Lost English Diary
One sunny morning, Gumball and Darwin went to school. Gumball suddenly opened his backpack and shouted, “Oh no! My English diary is missing!”
Darwin looked worried. “We need that diary! All our English words are inside!”
They searched the classroom, the school yard, and even the cafeteria. Suddenly, Darwin saw a blue notebook under a tree.
“Gumball! I found it!” he cried.
Gumball opened the diary and smiled. “Yes! Our words are safe!”
But then Darwin noticed something strange. Page 6 was completely empty!
“Oh no! We forgot to write our new words!” said Darwin.
Gumball took a pencil, and they quickly wrote the words together. They were happy because they had found their diary and learned an important lesson: always check your backpack!
The End.

THE MONGERING — PAGE 18: SMALL VICTORIES. A noir comic page in black-and-white with teal and amber accents, rainy noir cinematic look. Use the uploaded character reference for Douglas — a man with short dark hair and a beard, wearing a dark suit. 4 panels.

Panel 1: Morning. The bus stop. The bus pulls up — and Marcus is ON it, in a clean shirt, waving through the window. First day. Marcus (through glass): "Thursday!"

Panel 2: Douglas, waving back — a real smile, the first easy one in the issue.

Panel 3: Douglas's phone. A text from Lena: a photo of a small, imperfect storefront — "MABEL'S" going up in fresh paint. Lena (text): "Signed the lease. Small space. It's mine."

Panel 4: Douglas typing back, standing in the rain, steady. Douglas (text): "Proud of you." Caption: "The constants hold. Two of them, anyway."

Render all speech, text-message and caption text exactly as written, with perfect spelling.

Comic title: The Mongering. Page 2: MARCUS.

Panel 1: Dark noir graphic-novel illustration, rain-soaked fictional American city, heavy shadows, cold blue-teal palette with warm amber streetlight accents. Ordinary people, ordinary streets. No monsters, no creatures, no text inside the art except where noted. Morning. Marcus (late 20s, tired eyes, wrinkled button-down shirt, tie crooked, holding a resume folder) at a bus stop, resume folder clutched. A bus pulls away; he doesn't move to chase it. Small SFX text in the panel: "hiss… gone."

Panel 2: Same noir style. Flashback, dim apartment. Dre (unshaven roommate) on a couch, not looking up from his phone. Speech bubble from Dre: "Must be nice, getting interviews handed to you."

Panel 3: Same noir style. Back at the bus stop. Marcus staring at his shoes. Rain starting. Small speech bubble from Marcus: "It's not my fault."

Panel 4: Same noir style. The empty street where the bus was. Marcus still standing there. A clock on the bus shelter reading 5:17 — plain background set dressing, not emphasized. Caption box: "Missed opportunity #1."

The Sleepover: Trapped in the Cabin

Riley, Olivia, and Charlotte were having a sleepover at Charlotte’s cabin in the woods. Her parents were on vacation, and her older brother was out of town. They spent the evening eating snacks, playing games, and watching a scary movie.

“This movie is actually terrifying!” Riley said, pulling a blanket over her head.

“YOU picked it!” Olivia laughed.

Suddenly, they heard a loud CLICK from downstairs.

The girls stopped laughing.

“Did you lock the back door?” Olivia whispered.

“Yes,” Charlotte said. “I locked it earlier.”

Then they heard footsteps coming from the kitchen.

“Someone’s in the house!” Riley whispered.

The girls rushed upstairs and hid in Charlotte’s bedroom. They tried calling for help, but none of their phones had service.

“What are we supposed to do?” Olivia asked.

Charlotte thought for a moment. “We need to make a plan.”

The Plan

The girls quietly peeked downstairs and saw two men searching the living room. They knew they couldn't fight them, so Charlotte came up with a plan to create distractions and escape safely.

First, Riley gathered cardboard boxes, string, and craft supplies. Olivia collected pillows and blankets, while Charlotte grabbed flashlights and a metal mixing bowl.

They spent almost an hour preparing. They stacked boxes in the hallway, placed pillows around the living room, and positioned the mixing bowl where it would make a loud noise if knocked over. Riley even made cardboard silhouettes to make it look like people were standing near the windows.

“This is either genius or the worst idea ever,” Olivia whispered.

“Let's hope it's genius,” Charlotte replied.

Suddenly, they heard footsteps coming upstairs!

The girls rushed into the bedroom closet and stayed completely silent. One of the men tried the bedroom door, but his partner called him back downstairs.

“We need to leave,” Charlotte whispered. “But they might come back.”

The girls waited until they heard the back door slam. Then they checked the cabin and continued preparing their distractions.

They're Back!

Almost an hour later, the girls heard a noise outside.

The back door slowly opened.

The two men had returned!

One stepped into the living room and stumbled over a cardboard box. The metal mixing bowl crashed onto the floor.

CRASH!

“What was THAT?” one man shouted.

The other rushed toward the hallway, knocking over even more boxes and pillows.

From upstairs, Riley shined a flashlight toward the wall, creating a huge shadow.

“WE CAN SEE YOU!” she yelled.

The men panicked and looked around for whoever had spoken.

Meanwhile, Charlotte whispered, “Now! Let's get out!”

The girls quietly slipped through the laundry room's outside door and hurried toward a neighboring cabin. They knew they needed help, and staying inside was too dangerous.

They knocked desperately on the neighbor's door.

“Please help us! There are two thieves in our cabin!” Charlotte explained.

The neighbor immediately called the police.

The Morning After

The police arrived and caught the two thieves near the driveway as they tried to escape toward the woods. The girls stayed safely with their neighbor until the officers confirmed it was safe.

A little later, Charlotte's older brother arrived home. He expected to find the girls asleep on the couch, but instead, he saw police cars outside.

“What happened?!” he asked.

Riley took a deep breath. “Well, our sleepover got a little interesting.”

Olivia explained everything, including their plan, the boxes, and the mixing bowl.

Charlotte's brother stared at them. “You girls did ALL that?”

“Mostly Charlotte,” Riley said.

“Excuse me? I carried half the pillows!” Olivia protested.

When Charlotte's parents arrived, they hugged the girls and made sure everyone was okay. They were relieved the girls had escaped safely, but reminded them to get help instead of trying to handle intruders themselves.

That evening, the girls finally got home and rested.

“So,” Riley asked in their group chat, “when's the next sleepover?”

Olivia replied immediately.

“ONLY IF THERE'S WIFI AND NO RANDOM PEOPLE BREAKING IN.”

Charlotte laughed and typed back, “Deal.”

THE END

✨ The heavy mahogany double doors of the study remained slightly ajar, letting in the sharp, mocking laughter echoing from the hallway. Inside, the room was dimly lit, save for the amber glow of a solitary desk lamp casting long shadows across towering stacks of corporate files and ledger books.

At the center of it all sat **Devraj**, loosening his silk tie with fingers that felt unusually heavy. He stared blankly at the polished mahogany surface, though his mind was miles away, replaying the cold, shattering arguments of his childhood—the slamming doors, the venomous words exchanged between his parents, and the quiet realization that love was nothing more than a slow-burning trap.

The door pushed open wider without a knock.

His younger brother, Kunal, strolled in wearing a designer jacket that cost more than a mid-level manager’s monthly salary. Kunal leaned casually against the edge of the desk, eyeing the expensive fountain pen resting near Devraj’s hand.

"I need fifty lakhs transferred to the primary account by tomorrow morning," Kunal said lazily, checking his watch as if he were asking for a glass of water. "The new partners in Goa are finalizing the luxury car import venture. Don't make a fuss about it like you always do."

Devraj didn't look up immediately. He slowly closed the corporate merger report he had been reviewing since midnight. "That venture failed audit compliance last week, Kunal. The risk assessment flagged it as a liability."

"Oh, spare me the corporate lecture!" Kunal scoffed, his voice instantly sharp and dripping with condescension. "You’ve always been obsessed with control, hiding behind these boring spreadsheets while the rest of us actually want to live. You treat this house like a prison camp because you're miserable. Just sign the damn transfer and stop acting like a martyr."

Before Devraj could speak, their sister stepped into the doorway, her arms crossed, her expression twisted in annoyance. "Are you still arguing with him? Just make him pay, Kunal. It’s not like he has anything else to do with his money—he doesn't have a wife, a life, or anyone who actually cares about him. He's just our personal bank."

They didn't wait for an answer. With a final scoff, Kunal turned on his heel, leaving the door wide open as they walked away down the corridor, their laughter fading into the echoing silence of the massive mansion.

Devraj sat motionless in the quiet room. A dull ache throbbed behind his temples. They didn't know—none of them knew—that the accounts were tightening, or that he was quietly liquidating his personal assets to cover the massive debts Kunal had accumulated six months ago just to keep the family name out of the financial press. He protected them fiercely, absorbing every insult, every ounce of resentment, believing it was the only useful purpose he served.

A sharp, rhythmic tap of a heavy walking cane echoed against the marble floor outside.

The temperature in the room seemed to drop. **Dadi (The Grandmother)** stood at the doorway, her silhouette sharp and imposing against the hallway lights. Her silver hair was tied in a strict bun, and her eyes—piercing and relentless—locked onto him.

"Close your books, Devraj," she commanded, her voice cutting through the air like glass. "The accountants can wait. I cannot."

Devraj let out a slow, quiet breath, pulling a hand down his face before looking up at the matriarch who held the family's ancient traditions above everything else.

"What is it, Dadi? It's past midnight," he said, his voice flat, drained of any emotion.

"It is time," Dadi said, stepping into the room and placing a thick, gold-embossed leather folder right on top of his ledger. "Your cousins are producing heirs, our rivals are expanding their bloodlines, and this house is rotting from the inside out with a bunch of ungrateful children who don't know the value of a legacy."

She tapped the leather folder with her cane.

"You will marry. You will give me a great-grandson to inherit this empire. I have already shortlisted the matches from families that respect our stature. Your cynical notions about love and your parents' failures are irrelevant. By the end of this month, you will choose a bride, or I will choose one for you."

Create a fun, colorful, educational Grade 10 chemistry superhero comic titled **“Bonding Heroes: A Chemical Comic Adventure.”**

Create a **10-panel comic** that teaches the three main types of chemical bonding: **ionic, covalent, and metallic bonding**.

The three main superhero characters are:

**ION THE ATTRACTOR** — a purple superhero representing ionic bonding. His superpower is **electron transfer**. He transfers an electron from one atom to another, creating oppositely charged ions that attract each other.

**COVA THE SHARER** — a blue superhero representing covalent bonding. Her superpower is **electron sharing**. She helps atoms share electrons to form covalent bonds.

**METALLIX** — a silver-and-gold superhero representing metallic bonding. His superpower is the **sea of delocalized electrons**. He shows metal atoms surrounded by electrons that can move freely throughout the metal.

### Panel 1 — Meet the Bonding Heroes

Show all three superheroes together in a colorful chemistry laboratory. Introduce their powers:
ION: “I TRANSFER!”
COVA: “I SHARE!”
METALLIX: “MY ELECTRONS MOVE!”

### Panel 2 — Ionic Bonding Begins

Show a sodium atom (Na) with **one valence electron** transferring that electron to a chlorine atom (Cl) with **seven valence electrons**. Clearly show the electron moving from sodium to chlorine.

Dialogue: “I can give you my electron!”

### Panel 3 — Opposites Attract

Show the resulting **Na+ and Cl− ions** attracting each other after electron transfer. Show table salt (NaCl) as the real-world example.

Caption: “Ionic bonding happens when electrons are transferred and oppositely charged ions attract.”

### Panel 4 — Covalent Bonding

Show two hydrogen atoms sharing their electrons. Clearly show the shared pair of electrons between the atoms.

Cova says: “Why fight over electrons? Let’s SHARE!”

Caption: “Covalent bonds form when atoms share electrons.”

### Panel 5 — Water Adventure

Show a water molecule, **H₂O**, with one oxygen atom bonded to two hydrogen atoms through shared electrons. Show a glass of water beside it.

Caption: “Water contains covalent bonds.”

### Panel 6 — Metallix Arrives

Show several metal atoms arranged together, surrounded by many small electrons moving freely between the atoms.

Metallix says: “Welcome to my SEA OF ELECTRONS!”

Caption: “Metallic bonding involves metal atoms surrounded by delocalized electrons that can move throughout the metal.”

### Panel 7 — Salt Meets Water

Show table salt being added to water. Show Na+ and Cl− ions separating and moving through the water.

Ion says: “Water helps separate my ions!”

Caption: “Dissolved ionic compounds can conduct electricity because their ions can move.”

### Panel 8 — Sugar in Water

Show sugar dissolving in a glass of water.

Cova says: “My molecules stay together!”

Caption: “Sugar contains covalent bonds. When sugar dissolves, its molecules generally remain intact instead of separating into ions.”

### Panel 9 — Aluminum Foil

Show aluminum foil with electrons moving through the metal.

Metallix says: “My moving electrons help metals conduct heat and electricity!”

Caption: “Metallic bonding helps explain the electrical and thermal conductivity of metals.”

### Panel 10 — Final Showdown

Show all three superheroes together with a dramatic superhero ending.

ION: “I TRANSFER ELECTRONS!”
COVA: “I SHARE ELECTRONS!”
METALLIX: “MY ELECTRONS MOVE FREELY!”

Show a final comparison:

IONIC = ELECTRON TRANSFER
COVALENT = ELECTRON SHARING
METALLIC = DELOCALIZED/MOBILE ELECTRONS

Make the comic visually engaging, humorous, colorful, and appropriate for a Grade 10 school science project. Use clear speech bubbles, captions, superhero poses, chemistry symbols, atoms, electrons, and clean comic panels.

**IMPORTANT SCIENTIFIC ACCURACY:** Ionic bonding must show electron transfer, covalent bonding must show electron sharing, and metallic bonding must show mobile/delocalized electrons. Do not confuse these three processes.

Comic title: The Mongering. Page 1: "IT FEELS LIKE IT'S ALWAYS BEEN LIKE THIS".

Panel 1: Dark noir graphic-novel illustration, rain-soaked fictional American city, heavy shadows, cold blue-teal palette with warm amber streetlight accents. Ordinary people, ordinary streets. No monsters, no creatures, no text inside the art except where noted. Wide aerial view of the rainy city at dusk, gray and still, rain streaking the sky, nothing moving. One thin curl of smoke rising from a rooftop vent in the upper right — extremely subtle, barely visible, almost imperceptible. Caption box: "Nobody can say when it started."

Panel 2: Same noir style. Close on a diner window, rain beading on the glass. Inside the diner, a wall clock reading 9:04, second hand frozen — plain background set dressing, not emphasized. Caption box: "That's the worst part."

Panel 3: Same noir style. Street level: commuters crossing the street, all walking slightly too slow, faces blank, umbrellas dripping rain. Caption box: "It feels like it's always been like this."

Panel 4: Same noir style. Close on a young man's phone screen showing a missed call notification reading "Interview — 9:00 AM". His thumb hovers over the screen; he doesn't call back. Caption box: "Like the city exhaled once… and never breathed in again."

Map of the Matter is a sophisticated, witty comic set in a busy, recognisably Lagos urban environment, following a fictional Lagos State government project team investigating a proposed access corridor in a major transport district. What initially looks like a simple route quickly becomes a complex spatial problem as a surveyor, lands officer, planning officer, field officer, GIS/eGIS analyst and project manager discover that the map, land records, planning information and conditions on the ground tell different parts of the same story. Through fieldwork, conversations, maps, records and GIS analysis, the team investigates boundaries, existing development, drainage, infrastructure, movement and community impacts, then brings the different pieces together to compare alternative solutions. The comic should feel like a real, entertaining graphic novel rather than an educational pamphlet—dynamic Lagos environments, expressive Nigerian characters, humour, movement, visual investigation, hand-drawn/inked comic artwork, strong colour and technically credible GIS visuals—while naturally showing how spatial information helps government understand a complicated real-world problem and make a more informed decision.

frame 1:
A wide cinematic establishing shot of the peaceful town of Coldberg. A small, slightly old-fashioned town inhabited mostly by elderly people. Quiet streets, low residential buildings, elderly people casually walking along the sidewalks, an old woman carrying groceries, benches, trees and a peaceful atmosphere. The town looks completely ordinary and safe, but the scene should have a subtle mysterious undertone, suggesting that dark secrets are hidden beneath its peaceful surface. Composition like the opening panel of a professionally published manga, black-and-white manga style, detailed background, clean linework, delicate shading, cinematic wide shot.

frame 2:
A low-angle shot of a mysterious character standing on a street in Coldberg. Only the character's shoes and lower legs are visible. The camera is positioned very close to the ground and looks slightly upward. The character stands completely still, keeping their identity hidden. A peaceful Coldberg street is visible in the background. The panel should feel suspicious and mysterious, as if the reader is about to discover the character's secret. Black-and-white manga style, strong light and shadow contrast, dramatic framing, detailed linework.

frame 3:
A dynamic vertical shot as if the camera is moving upward from the character's shoes toward their face. More of the mysterious character's body is now visible, but the face is still outside the frame. The atmosphere is deliberately exaggeratedly dark and dramatic, like a thriller or horror manga. The background is slightly blurred so all attention remains on the character. Black-and-white manga, dramatic shadows, strong contrast, professional Japanese comic style

frame 4:
An extreme close-up of the mysterious character's eyes. The eyes look extremely serious and mysterious, as if the character is hiding a dark secret. Deep shadows around the eyes, dramatic lighting, highly detailed linework. The panel should feel like the dramatic climax of a serious thriller. Black-and-white manga, extreme close-up, high contrast, dramatic shading.

frame 5:
A sudden transition into an ordinary comedic scene. We see Wika's face in a normal everyday shot. Her expression is completely calm and casual, creating a strong contrast with the dramatic panels before it. Wika is ordering a kebab. She says: "Yes, please, with ketchup." The comedic contrast should be very clear — the previous panels suggested a mysterious dark character, but now it turns out she is simply ordering a kebab. Black-and-white manga, comedic timing, expressive facial expression, clean linework.

frame 6:
Wika walks away from a kebab stand, holding the freshly bought kebab in one hand. We see her full body from behind and slightly from the side as she casually walks down the street. Behind her is a small, distinctive kebab stand with a large simple sign reading “KEBAB” above the counter. It is an ordinary day in the quiet town of Coldberg, with a few elderly people in the distance. The scene should feel slightly comedic and mundane, contrasting with the dramatic panels at the beginning. Black-and-white manga style, detailed background, clean linework, delicate shading, professional manga page composition. No speech bubbles or additional text except the “KEBAB” sign.
